A new nail color or design change can mean instant beauty gratification. I first learned this back fact at the impressionable age of 5 when my best friend and I, who were always trying to earn some extra money decided to ditch the lemonade stand idea and sell manicures out of the back of her parent's Dodge Caravan. We weren't selling any old manicures though. We had a brand new bottle of shiny gold nail polish, and that was all we had and all we thought we needed. No one took to our idea of gold only manicures that day, but we were just ahead of our time because in 2018 gold is looking gorgeous again! If you feel stuck in a rut with your usual nude or french manicure, 2018 is all about shaking things up and finally getting that gold mani!
A new way to French
Lets face it, pink and white French manicures are reserved for the country club and the early 2000s. If you still love the classic look of a delicately painted fine line, try black or green on top of a nude nail for a sexier take on the classic. French Tip Dip has an extensive range of colors for the quickest and easiest way to get a french manicure. Check out their Beach Vibes polish to achieve Alice and Olivia's Spring Look.
All That Glitters
Gold, the coveted metal of centuries makes a return in popularity this Spring. Get your glitz on with a sparkling gold like RCM's Good as Gold or go for a more metallic gold like Essie's . Gold will be so popular this season, my bestie and I may need to consider re-opening our "gold only" manicure business...stay tuned for 24K magic.
All Grown Out

When you think perfect manicure, a negative space of outgrown nail usually doesn't come to mind. Lucky for the lazy, a grown out manicure is what is in right now. The key is to make sure that the rest of your nail is perfect - no chips, no uneven edges, and there you have it, the perfectly imperfect nail!
Get In Line
The nails at Philip Lim 3.1 and Kate Spade are indication that a single black line can make quite a statement. I love the chic simplicity of a horizontal black line across a pale pink finger. Try 2 coats of Essie's In a Blush, followed by a thin line of black ( RCM's Nail Art Tool Kit has everything you need to bring out your inner artist) for an incredibly simple Spring look.

Shades of grey and taupe nails have been on the hotlist for a while. This year, the grey that we are seeing chicly decorate short squoval-shaped nails. If you love this trend, and love gel,I highly recommend Red Carpet Manicure's Skirting Around Shade!
